NEW YORK (AP) — The NBA says each team must arrange a booster-shot event for players, staff and family members by New Year’s Eve. It’s the latest NBA mandate in its quest to reduce its skyrocketing rate of virus numbers. While 97% of the league is vaccinated, one out of three isn’t boosted.
UNDATED (AP) — The NHL now says the league is on hold until at least Tuesday, one day later than originally planned. Teams will return to practice on Sunday. The delay comes as the Toronto Maple Leafs added William Nylander to the league’s list of players in COVID protocols.
