Tuesday night’s Big Bash game has been switched due to multiple positive cases within the Brisbane Heat squad.
Fox Cricket understands the Perth Scorchers — which are already on the Gold Coast — will instead face the Sydney Sixers at Metricon Stadium.

The Heat and Sixers are staying at the same resort on the Gold Coast, mixing with the public.
Brisbane arrived in Queensland on Sunday after catching a public flight to Canberra from Hobart and then another one to the Gold Coast.

Though there has been no positive PCR tests, it’s understood there have been positive rapid tests in the Heat setup.
While the club awaits results of those PCR’s, Cricket Australia has moved to swap games.
The Scorchers were due to play the Thunder on Wednesday night at Metricon Stadium, though it’s believed that game will now be on Thursday night.
The Heat’s next scheduled game is against the Renegades on January 6 in Geelong.
It’s unclear how Cricket Australia will schedule the Heats immediate fixtures if those PCR test come back positive.
After Fox Cricket’s report, Cricket Australia confirmed the updated fixtures.
January 4, 6.15pm (AEDT): Perth Scorchers v Sydney Sixers (previously shcheduled for January 6)
January 5, 8.15pm (AEDT): Brisbane Heat v Sydney Sixers (previously scheduled for January 4)
January 6, 8.15pm (AEDT): Perth Scorchers v Sydney Thunder (originally scheduled for January 5)
