On 7th Jan 2022, LeBron James scored 32 points in a win against the Atlanta Hawks. This set a record of the oldest player to ever score 25+ points in 10 consecutive games.
The record was previously held by none other than, Michael Jordan. His Airness set the record in 1997 at the age of 34. While the King currently at 37 broke the record.
NBA news: Lakers Current Status
The Los Angeles Lakers are currently in the 6th spot with 21 wins in 40 games. They have won 5 of their last ten games. James played 28 games for the Lakers out of which they won 16. James has been carrying the team in the absence of Anthony Davis.
King James is currently averaging 28 ppg while in the last 10 games his average is about 34 ppg. Breaking another Jorand’s record brings James even closer to the GOAT status.
Unfortunately, the Lakers loaded with superstars are struggling to win. Their longest winning streak is 4 games that they currently hold. Due to the Covid protocols and other injuries the team is not able to hold its momentum as the best players are not getting a chance to play together.
The kid from Acron is set battling his way around the league to win his fifth ring this season. With Anthony Davis back in practice chances of the Lakers winning another ring seems possible.
James’ New record

James’ only performance where he scored less than 30 points was against the Minnesota Timberwolves. He scored 26 points in 39 minutes. LeBron James has added 3 triple-doubles this season, crossing 100 career triple-doubles.
Both The King and His Airness have had exceptional carriers and have accomplished unimaginable peaks. Both have multiple records under their names. The G.O.A.T debate between the two players would go on till eternity.
