Brooklyn Nets guard James Harden is set to return to the lineup Wednesday night against the Chicago Bulls (10 ET, ESPN) after missing one game due to left knee hyperextension. Harden was sidelined for the Nets’ 114-108 loss to the Portland Trail Blazers on Monday in which Kyrie Irving made just his second start of the season.
Irving, who refused to get the COVID-19 vaccine and is barred from playing in New York due to the city’s vaccine mandate, has resumed playing on the road and is also listed as available tonight in Chicago.
With Harden’s return, the Nets will have their Big 3 on full display with Irving and Kevin Durant on the court together for just the second time this season. They’ll certainly need it to take on DeMar DeRozan and the East-leading Bulls.
Harden is averaging 22.4 points, 8.1 rebounds and 9.7 assists this season while Irving, in just two games, is up to 22 points, 5.5 rebounds and 4.0 assists.
Durant leads the Nets with 29.8 points, 7.7 rebounds and 5.8 assists.
