We have passed the halfway point of the 2021-22 NBA season and while many teams in the league have been having up-and-down seasons, there are some teams in the league that are starting to look like true title contending threats this season.
The Miami Heat and Philadelphia 76ers have both been red-hot over the last few weeks and while the Heat are now tied for the 1-seed in the Eastern Conference, the 76ers sit just 3.0 games back as the current 6-seed.
In the Western Conference, the story this season has been the sudden rise of the young Memphis Grizzlies and all of their success, but we cannot forget about Luka Doncic and the Dallas Mavericks either. Maybe these two teams do not have the most All-Star talents, but they are winning games and surging at the right times.
The trade deadline is less than three weeks away and all four teams mentioned above could be active in looking to fill some holes on their roster, but overall, all of these teams are starting to come into their own this season and beginning to look like real title-contending teams.
