There’s been a Greg Biffle sighting and he’s rumored to compete in 2022
At the end of the 2016 season, Greg Biffle was unable to locate a contract in the NASCAR Cup Series. He spent the next few years, completely absent from the sport.
In 2019, Kyle Busch pulled Biffle out of free agency, briefly. Biffle was signed to drive a single NASCAR Truck Series race for Kyle Busch Motorsports.
After a near three year departure from racing, Biffle drove his truck to victory lane. That was his first truck race since 2004.
Biffle returned to run another race in 2020. However, he finished 19th. In 2021, he ran the SRX Series in their debut season.

NY Racing?
NY Racing is owned by John Cohen and based in Stateville, NC. The team officially opened in 2009.
The team was previously rumored for a scheduled effort in 2021. They planned to run every race, expect the Daytona 500.
Now, NASCAR is set to debut the NASCAR Next Gen car. The new spec chassis drastically reduces the costs of running in the sport. It’s also a much smaller barrier to get into the sport.
It’s rumored that NY Racing is set to run the Daytona 500. Who would drive?
According to a report from Lee Spencer, Greg Biffle was spotted at Richard Childress Racing. He was getting fitted for a seat in the No. 44.
NY Racing would be the team entering the No. 44 car.
Currently, nothing official has been announced. The Daytona 500 is scheduled for February 20, 2022.
Biffle spent 15 years in the NASCAR Cup Series. He collected 19 wins after 510 starts. His last win came in 2013.
