EUSTIS — Eustis Roofing Company was just named Roofing Company of the Year at the Roofing Insights National Conference held in Orlando last month.
For owner Jason Reisman, this recognition is astonishing considering they were up against much larger commercial companies. But it was the little roofing company from Lake County that everyone was talking about.
“It’s like the Grammys of roofing,” Reisman said. “The whole country is looking for the best roofing company, how it’s run and the satisfaction of the customers, and they found it here.”

Reisman said he was just happy to be a top eight finalist, and now to win was beyond words.
It was his days working the pit crew for NASCAR that he attributes to the company’s growing success.
“We run our roofing company very different from most,” Reisman said. “First, we are all about integrity. We do everything in-house. We don’t subcontract out. We take our employees and cultivate them into the Michael Jordans of roofing. Our employees are our family and we do everything as a team. Just like in NASCAR, if we didn’t work as a team, we didn’t get the job done. We’ve set our company up much the same way to be the most efficient.”
To ensure that every member feels like a part of the team, Reisman provides hats and T-shirts for his crew, just like a sports team would. He also assigns a “crew chief” and hosts many events for his employees and their families.
This philosophy impressed Roofing Insights and Reisman was asked to host a breakout session at the conference to train roofers from all over the country.
“We are constantly looking for new and inventive ways in the industry,” Reisman said. “I just took what I knew from NASCAR and implemented it here. It actually works really well.”
Reisman runs the company with his father, Rod, who began working at the company in 1982 as a ground clean-up laborer. He worked his way up and took over the company in 1989. Jason later joined the team, also working his way up from a grounds cleaner, to helping his family run the company.
“I pride myself in being a family company,” Reisman said. “Not only where my family works, but where other families want to work. We want to keep striving to be the best.”
