The University of Minnesota women’s golf team will head back to Florida for the UCF Challenge beginning on Sunday morning. The three-day event will run through Tuesday afternoon at the Eagle Creek Golf Club in Orlando, Fla.
The tournament will be played as a 54-hole stroke-play format. The course is set at 6,349 yards with a par 72 and will be a shotgun start at 7:45 a.m. CT each day.

LINEUP
The Gophers will send out a lineup of senior Geraldine Wong, senior Joanne Free, junior Grace Curran, junior Leah Herzog and junior Emma Carpenter.
THE FIELD
The tournament will feature a total of 18 teams, including some of the top ranked programs in the country. Joining the Gophers will be No. 6 Wake Forest, No. 7 Virginia, No. 12 Auburn, No. 22 UCF, No. 31 Miami, No. 33 Iowa State, No. 34 Kentucky, No. 40 Michigan State, No. 46 Ohio State, College of Charleston, Houston, Kent State, Maryland, NC State, Old Dominion, Penn State and UNCW.
THE COURSE
Designed by world-renowned golf course architects Ron Garl and Howard Swan, Eagle Creek is Florida’s first golf course to use the technologically advanced Mini-Verde grass, resulting in exceptionally fast and vibrant greens.
LOOKING AHEAD
Following the action at the UCF Challenge, Minnesota’s next tournament will be the Westbrook Invitational in Peoria, Arizona from Sunday, February 27 to Monday, February 28.
