Australia’s Ajla Tomljanovic says her boyfriend Matteo Berrettini is very loyal, supportive and he definitely made the first move. Tomljanovic and Berrettini have been dating each other for two years and it’s obvious they have a happy relationship.
Both Berrettini and Tomljanovic are playing the tennis of their lives as Berrettini is enjoying a career-high ranking of No. 6 in the world, while Tomljanovic is ranked at her career-high ranking of No. 39 in the world. “He is great for many reasons, but my favorite thing about him is that he is really loyal, supportive and funny.
I love that he is a tennis player so he can understand my life style. First move? He definitely made it, Tomljanovic said of Berrettini on Tennis Channel, as revealed by Mario Boccardi.

Berrettini, Tomljanovic understand each other perfectly
A few months ago, Berrettini spoke about how dating someone who understands the demands of the Tour helps.
“I didn’t label myself as a future tennis star as a teenager. So I lived as a normal teenager. I lived in Rome, I enjoyed life, but I never went out or did crazy things. As I grew and got better, I began to realize what the whole life of a professional tennis player is like: spending 10 to 11 months going around the world.
It takes a lot to get used to it. Now I’m dating Tomljanovic, something that is positive because she understands me and knows the demands of the tour. My family also tries to travel with me on certain occasions. I don’t see them as much as I would like, but they are happy to see me enjoy this dream,” Berrettini said.
Last week, Berrettini joked when he practices with Tomljanovic he has to let her or otherwise they fight. Meanwhile, Berrettini last played at the Australian Open, where he was beaten by Rafael Nadal in the semifinal.
