The Daytona 500 is set to return Sunday. But before the Great American Race gets underway, the drivers will decide their starting positions in the Bluegreen Vacations Duels.
The Duels at Daytona are the pair of 60-lap races that serve as the openers to the big race at Daytona International Speedway. After Wednesday’s qualifying session decides the pole position and their partner in the front row for the 500, Thursday’s qualifiers will determine the rest of the starting grid.
Will Michael McDowell follow up last year’s surprising win in the 500 by starting near the front this year? Will Kyle Busch set himself up to finally get a win at Daytona? How will Chase Elliott, Joey Logano and the rest of NASCAR’s stars position themselves for Sunday’s big race?
