North Carolina remains the top-ranked team in the nation according to the latest ITA Division I women’s tennis rankings released on Wednesday.
Carolina (15-0, 4-0 ACC) continues to sit atop the poll for the fourth week in a row, well ahead of NC State and Oklahoma who round out the top three. Ohio State and Duke are fourth and fifth, respectively.
UNC boasts five players among the top-30 singles player in the country: No. 9 Cameron Morra, No. 10 Reilly Tran, No. 15 Elizabeth Scotty, No. 24 Carson Tanguilig and No. 28 Fiona Crawley, who leads all players nationally with 30 singles victories.
Crawley and Scotty are back in the top spot of the doubles rankings, while Alle Sanford and Tran sit No. 32 and Crawley and Tran are No. 80.
The Tar Heels, who are idle this week, return to action the following weekend with a pair of matches scheduled at Chapel Hill Tennis Club against Syracuse on March 18 at 3 p.m. and No. 69 Boston College on Sunday at 1 p.m.
