NIAGARA UNIVERSITY, NY – The Purple Eagles’ men’s and women’s tennis programs will be in Olean, N.Y., Friday afternoon for a bout with the Bonnies.
Last Time Out
• The Niagara women went 1-1 last week, picking up a win against Daemen and falling to MAAC rival Siena.
• The men fell to Siena in their MAAC season opener.
Niagara Notes
Men
• Trevor Masi is 8-0 this season and has won the last three No. 1 singles matches he has played in.
• Tanner Bedard is 7-2 in his rookie season. The freshman was named MAAC Player of the Week earlier this season.
• Manuel Alonso is 4-6 in dual match singles competition this season and has won three of his last five matches.
• Gurustat Makkar and Eduardo Villalpando are 4-2 this season.
• In doubles action, Bedard and Masi are the Purple Eagles top pairing with a 5-2 record.
• Jorge Sedeno and Villalpando are 4-2 as a duo and William Gothlin and Alonso are 3-2.
Women
• The Purple and White dominated Daemen, picking up their third straight win last Friday, before falling to Siena on Saturday.
• Erika Gonzalez is 7-4 this season and has won five straight singles matches.
• Sophomore Jaida Borg is 5-6 in singles action, winning three in No. 3 singles.
• Mercedes Velasco and Elena Mayet are 3-1 in No. 3 doubles action this season.
• Megan Gamble and Coral Rodriguez are 2- in No. 1 doubles.
• Niagara is 12-20 overall in doubles action and 23-40 in singles play.

• The women will play Buffalo on Monday morning, while the men travel to East Lansing to take on Xavier and Michigan State.
