DECATUR — The Bulldogs made short order of the Tigers when Lead Hill came to Decatur Thursday night for a conference matchup at Bulldog Stadium.
Ten minutes into the first half, the Bulldogs went on the offensive, with the Tiger goalkeeper and one of the backline defenders staving off the attack. At the 20 minute mark, Decatur managed to slam the ball past the Lead Hill goalie for the first goal of the match. For the next three minutes, the Bulldogs continued their assault on the net, scoring three more times and building a 4-0 lead over the Tigers.
With 10 minutes left to play, the Tigers managed to slip the ball past Bulldog goalkeeper Cam’ron Vang for the only Lead Hill point of the match. By the end of the first half, the Bulldogs led 9-1 going into the break.
The second half was short-lived, with the Decatur Bulldogs picking up two more goals to lead 11-1. The match was called because of the 10-point mercy rule, giving the Bulldogs the win over the Lead Hill Tigers.
