GRANVILLE, Ohio (April 7, 2022) – The No. 14 Denison University men’s tennis team played outside on its home courts for the first time so far this season, but it made no difference in the Big Red’s performance as they earned their second 9-0 sweep in two North Coast Athletic Conference West Division matches this year after defeating Wittenberg University by the same score on Thursday.

Singles
- A pair of 6-0, 6-1 wins for the Big Red clinched the match, first by Harms at No. 3 singles and then by Eason in the six spot.
- Cianciola then reversed the scores of the sets with a 6-1, 6-0 win in the top spot before Ryan Patrick won without dropped a game (6-0, 6-0) in the five hole.
- Mackler won 6-2, 6-0 at No. 4 singles before Bulger finished off the evening with a 6-1, 6-4 win in the No. 2 position.

- No. 14 Denison improved 13-1 overall, 2-0 in the NCAC West, and 8-1 at home while also winning its 20th straight match against Wittenberg (5-10 overall, 1-2 NCAC West) since defeating the Tigers in the NCAC Tournament Championship match back in 2004.
Next Up: Next up for the Big Red will be a wild day on Saturday, April 9, as Denison hosts three matches in one day, starting at 9 a.m. against Capital University. Then at 1 p.m., the Big Red will battle Asbury University (Ky.) before taking an another NCAC West Division opponent in Wabash College at 3:30 p.m.
