Batter Colin Ingram top-scored with 87 as Glamorgan were bowled out for 234 on day two of our LV= County Championship clash against Durham at Sophia Gardens.
Ingram played with fluency throughout his innings, striking 16 boundaries in his 152 ball knock and enjoyed his return to red-ball cricket.
“It was nice to back, it was nice to have an opportunity. I think a lot of people always feel that I just want to play white ball. But I always wanted to be back and it is nice to have the opportunity and I felt semi-decent as well,” said Ingram.
“I have really enjoyed the preparation. To some degree red ball cricket gives you a great base to play attacking white ball. So, I have used the pre-season period and it has been nice to be out here with the group and used that quite well and feel in relatively good nick.”
“The pitch always had enough in it but [on day one] they gave us enough freebies and that allowed us to build an innings, whereas today when they hit their areas we saw how difficult it can be.
“To flip that around as a positive, our bowling attack will think that if we can put a few good balls in a decent area hopefully there will be some rewards.”
