ADRIAN — Worthington’s Logan Powers continued his hot spring on the links Tuesday, earning another medalist’s score as the Trojans swept Adrian/Ellsworth in high school golf at the Adrian Country Club.
Powers, who shared medalist honors on Monday at a Big South Conference meet in Windom, carded a 38 on Tuesday.
“Excellent ball striking and a lot of confidence,” head coach Paul Barduson described Power’s play.
Worthington won both the boys and girls team titles, with the girls out-performing the Dragons by eight strokes and the boys winning 167-179.
Powers was joined by teammates Andrew Mulder (42), Tyler Jaycox (43) and Spenser Nickel (44) in the scoring. For Adrian/Ellsworth it was Brock Henning with 40, Logan Nogosek with 45, Landyn Loosbrock 46 and Preston Vortherms 48.
Josi Altman of Adrian/Ellsworth was girls medalist with a 45. Dragons Taya Elias had 47, Madeline Wagner 49 and Olivia Lehnhoff 65.
For Worthington, Kendall Nixon carded 48. Lilly Mahlberg, Tarren Spartz and Madison Beckmann were all close behind with 49s.
