ATLANTA — Ronald Acuña Jr. again managed to do something you may have never seen before.
Acuña created energy and some laughs when he hit his first home run of the season during Friday night’s game against the Brewers at Truist Park. The Braves outfielder lost his balance with his powerful swing and fell across the plate on his rear while the ball sailed into the center-field seats.
Acuña’s 450-foot home run came off the bat at 111.7 mph per Statcast and pulled the Braves within 2-1 in the fourth inning. This was just the second extra-base hit he has tallied since being activated from the injured list on April 28.
Acuña is nearly 10 months removed from tearing his right ACL during a July 10 game in Miami.
