Roig explained: “Rafael Nadal’s foot pain tends to get worse with the cold. The doctor told us that the last treatment Rafa underwent will work, even if it will have to wait. It should be 2 or 3 sessions. This remedy will allow him to play painlessly for some time.”
In the latest edition of her podcast, Rennae Stubbs paid tribute to Nadal: “It’s amazing how he managed to find a way to play, even though his physique was not in optimal condition. I knew that he would take his doctor to Paris and that he would do everything possible to win another Roland Garros.
He had to numb his foot during the tournament, otherwise the pain would have been unbearable. In some ways, it put his health at risk. What he did is just crazy.”
