Amid a big week for the Thompson family — Klay and the Warriors celebrated their 2022 NBA title with a parade on Monday — his brother, Trayce Thompson, was on the move. The Dodgers finalized a deal with the Tigers to acquire the 31-year-old outfielder in exchange for cash considerations.
Thompson has played for five teams during parts of six Major League seasons, including 107 games for the Dodgers in 2016-17, during which he hit 14 homers. He played in six games for the Padres earlier this season, going 1-for-14, before being signed to a Minor League deal by the Tigers.
Thompson has absolutely raked at the Triple-A level in 2022, hitting .305/.365/.721 with 17 homers in 41 games.
