Milwaukee rode that 28-15 third quarter to a win, with Brooklyn logging a 35-22 fourth quarter to make it tight at the end. They also outpaced Brooklyn in assists, 19-11, while leading in points off turnovers, 23-12.
The Bucks (1-0) were led by Sandro Mamukelashvili, who finished with 17 points, five rebounds and two assists. Lindell Wigginton came off the bench to provide 17 points, two rebounds and seven assists. MarJon Beauchamp totaled 16 points and three boards, while AJ Green accrued 14 points and two boards.
The Nets (0-1) were led by Cam Thomas, who scored 17 of his 31 points in the fourth quarter. David Duke had 22 points, three rebounds and three assists. Day’Ron Sharpe tallied eight points, 10 rebounds and three steals, while Noah Kirkwood led the bench with eight points and three rebounds.
