The Bears and NFL have announced the third annual NFL Fan of the Year contest.
The goal of the contest is to recognize and celebrate extraordinary fans who inspire others through their love of football. Fans can submit applications to nominate themselves or someone deserving of this award. If you know someone who rallies others to spice up the game, nominate them by visiting NFL.com/FanOfTheYear.
In collaboration with all 32 clubs, this program is designed to highlight fans who have a special affinity for their local team, provide inspiration to others and showcase how football unites their family, friends and local communities. During Week 9 of the regular season each team will select one fan as its official “Fan of the Year” and will win a trip to Super Bowl LVII in Glendale, Ariz. which includes two tickets plus a VIP experience.
The winner will be announced at NFL Honors and will be crowned “Fan of the Year” during Super Bowl weekend, providing the fan with the chance to represent their team during on the NFL’s largest platform. Last year, Destiny Blackmon was named the Bears’ 2021 Fan of the Year at Soldier Field. Blackmon, a dedicated nurse who has worked on the frontlines throughout the COVID-19 pandemic and dealt with a cancer scare. Her love for the Bears helped her and her family through some of their toughest moments. The Bears provided her two tickets to Super Bowl LVI, including round-trip airfare, a fourday hotel stay in L.A., two passes to the NFL Honors event and more.
