The Bucks started their 2022 season on the road against defending Mid-Penn Champions Montgomery and immediately showed that they are ready to vie for this year’s title.
Despite finding themselves down at several points in the match, Bucktail players rallied and walked off off the courts having beaten the defending champs 4-1.
“I am happy with the team effort, it was a good way to start the season,” Coach Alison Heiser said of the successful opener.“The girls were in some tight spots but kept their heads. I’m proud of them, we now prepare for Towanda and Wellsboro over the next two days.”
“Montgomery was the only hurdle that we could not overcome last year, many sets were decided by tie breakers or extra games, they would stay focused and battle back despite finding themselves in some tough spots” Heiser finished.
Bucktail is now 1-0 overall and 1-0 in the Mid-Penn.
