Michael Jordan has been a silent but steadfast opponent of racism. And it all began when he was forbidden from entering a pool at a young age! Every tale has a beginning, and those of us who are familiar with Michael Jordan are aware that he has been a quiet hero in the struggle against racism.
As an athlete who achieved popularity and widespread recognition in the 1980s and 1990s, he confronted every challenge. Michael always handled it all with grace. The explanation is a really interesting tale. When MJ turned on the television to watch Roots, his mother told him the most moving story a parent can tell their child.
According to the narrative, Michael confronted his mother about the injustices and issues that a predominately white society faces. All his mother said was, “Rise above it.” Michael Jordan tells a tale about growing up with a “white” sibling and why he chose to continue fighting prejudice in silence.

This tale demonstrates that Michael was constantly conscious of the discriminatory treatment that Caucasians in America meted out to African Americans. Michael’s account of Roots was filled with rage and violence. He had some resentment toward how others of his type were treated, but thankfully for him, his parents made sure he didn’t respond and that he got over it.
His family was close-knit, and in fact, his father had shown an interest in adopting a young white child. A young boy by the name of Dave Bridgers. He grew close to Michael. And MJ mentions how there was no difference between the two of them.
And he remembers a tale about how they went to swimming pools and how the other kids would exit the water as soon as Mike jumped in. Hearing that story made my stomach turn. He talks about how his “brother” showed his support for Michael by leaving the pool if they didn’t treat him well.
He has been a warrior since he was young, and more recently, he even said that his company would donate a significant $100 million to the fight against systemic racism.
jordan received a lot of flak for owning a NASCAR franchise, too. But he has subsequently defended the fight and stood tall. We continue to think that racism is pervasive in America. And that the conflict must continue until its roots are exposed.

Over the next ten years, Michael Jordan has promised to give $100 million to groups fighting for racial equality.
“Black lives matter. This isn’t a controversial statement,” Jordan said Friday in a letter from his company, Jordan Brand. “Until the ingrained racism that allows our country’s institutions to fail is completely eradicated, we will remain committed to protecting and improving the lives of Black people.”
The statement follows widespread demonstrations against George Floyd, Breonna Taylor, and Ahmaud Arbery’s killings. People have protested in the streets across the United States and abroad to draw attention to racism and police brutality. After a Minnesota police officer knelt on Floyd’s neck for over nine minutes on May 25, Floyd, a 46-year-old black man, passed away.
