The Tampa Bay Buccaneers are adding some veteran experience and versatility to their active roster heading into Week 1.

Linebacker Genard Avery has been elevated from the practice squad for Sunday night’s season opener against the Dallas Cowboys.

Avery has the ability to line up as an off-ball linebacker or on the edge, and also give the Bucs some valuable special teams ability.
