Russian Varvara Gracheva beat Croat lucky loser Ana Konjuh 7-5, 6-3 to move into the semi-finals of the Rouen Open at Kindarena on Friday afternoon.
Gracheva, ranked No 102, will play Swiss Viktorija Golubic, the No 5 seed, next.
Ahead of her victory, the 22-year-old Russian won against Hungarian Dalma Galfi, the No 8 seed (6-0, 6-2) and German Tamara Korpatsch (7-6 (5), 7-6 (4)).
Konjuh, ranked No 170, won against Ukrainian Dayana Yastremska (1-6, 6-1, 6-2) and edged out Bulgarian Viktoriya Tomova, the No 10 seed (7-5, 4-6, 7-5) earlier in the tournament.
