His hat trick vaulted him to third place in goals, tied with Cole Caufield of the Montreal Canadiens and Toronto’s John Tavares. Meier has been hot lately, logging seven points in five consecutive games. While playing for San Jose, he has been a consistent point producer for his seven-year NHL career.
