In 1997, Rockstar Games released Grand Theft Auto (GTA), an action-adventure video game whose gameplay revolves around driving and shooting, with occasional role-playing and stealth elements. It has since then published six more titles and become insanely popular. With its eighth title under development, a recent screenshot has been doing rounds on social media that shows a NASCAR truck in GTA open world. Admittedly, the version of the game is GTA Online, but the resemblance is uncanny.

Naturally, this has created a buzz among fans with many declaring their intentions to get behind the wheel. Officially, the vehicle is called the Karin Hotring Everon and has trade and buy-it-now prices of $1,342,500 and $1,790,000, respectively. Additionally, players have to finish in the top 3 in at least 20 San Andreas Super Sport Series races to qualify for trade price.

How did NASCAR fans react to the news?
As mentioned before, the news of a NASCAR truck’s presence in GTA sent quite a buzz through the community. One thing is for sure though, NASCAR fans in particular will be hooked to the game. One can only imagine the havoc they create with the truck. One can tell upon closer inspection that the truck is a Toyota Tundra lookalike, just like the one fielded by Kyle Busch Motorsports.
Considering the fact that KBM is no longer with Toyota and will be shifting to Chevrolet in the 2023 season, fans were not late to react to the coincidence. A number of people joked that KBM has sold its previous fleet to GTA.

Others were simply a bit disappointed that the paintjob was just an ordinary one. And although Hotring Everon is supposed to be one of the fastest trucks in the game, it would have really made their day if the Kyle Busch Motorsports livery were made available. Would you have liked it better with the livery? Do tell us in comments below.
