It might be a stretch, but the Alabama coaching staff is pushing to flip 2023 Iowa commit Kadyn Proctor. The native of Des Moines, Iowa has been a hard commit to the Hawkeyes since June. Hank South of 247Sports tweeted out that Proctor would be taking one last visit to Alabama over the weekend.
Proctor is regarded as a five-star prospect on almost every recruiting circuit. He is listed at 6-foot-7, 330 pounds, according to 247Sports. Many in the recruiting industry have compared Proctor to former Hawkeyes’ offensive tackle Tristan Wirfs. That is quite the comparison considering Wirfs was drafted No. 13 to the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.
Several programs are also pushing to flip Proctor such as Colorado and Oregon. Alabama has been the program that has been on Proctor the longest, however. Not to mention, there have been some rumors circulating that he could make a last-minute trip to Tuscaloosa over the weekend. That remains to be seen.
At this time, Alabama is ranked as the No. 1 recruiting class. Five offensive linemen that are also committed are Miles McVay, Wilkin Formby, RyQueze McElderry, Olaus Alinen, and Raymond Pulido. That will not stop the Tide from pursuing Proctor. He is the most sought offensive lineman in the class and the coaching staff is doing their best to flip his commitment.
