The Blackhawks prospects continue to lead the way in the tournament as all four players helped their teams advance to the next round of the World Juniors tournament.
F Victor Stjernborg, Sweden
In Sweden’s 3-2 winner over Finland, the Swedish captain produced his first goal of the tournament with the game winning goal to help his team advance. He brings his total points to two (1G, 1A), four shots on goal and averages 14 minutes of playing time.
D Nolan Allan, Canada
Allan made his fifth appearance of the tournament to help Canada win 4-3 against Slovakia in a overtime thriller. Five games under his belt, he maintains two points (1G, 1A), two penalty minutes, six shots on goals, plus-five and almost 17 minutes of ice time.
D Ethan Del Mastro, Canada
The alternate captain holds up two points (0G, 2A), two penalty minutes, two shots on goal and 19 minutes of ice time. Ranks second among Canadian defensemen with his average playing time.
D Kevin Korchinski, Canada
The 2022 NHL Draft pick continues to lead the blue liners with four points (1G, 3A), plus-five, three shots on goal and 12 minutes of ice time. He also continues to lead all Blackhawks prospects with the most points.
Both teams qualified for the semifinal round with games starting on Wednesday afternoon. Sweden will start at 1:30 p.m. CST against Czechia and Canada will start the 5:30 p.m. CST contest against the United States. The winners of these matchups will move on to gold medal match on Thursday with losing team competing for bronze.
