Jaylen Brown Leads Boston With 37 Points Against Lakers
11 mins agoBoston Celtics guard/forward Jaylen Brown was the team leading scorer in Saturday’s classic matchup against the Lakers, shooting 13-for-23 from the field en route to 37 points. He tied the game late in regulation with a three-point play and scored 11 of the team’s 20 points in overtime when the C’s finally managed to put the Lakers away 125-121. Brown, who finished 2-for-9 from downtown, also had nine rebounds in the game with three assists, one steal and one block. At the midway point of the season, Brown is averaging a career-high 27.0 points per game with 7.2 rebounds, 3.2 assists and 1.1 steals. He can get hot in a hurry, and Brown looks well-placed to crush it again in the next matchup against Brooklyn where he had 34 points in his only previous appearances this season.
