BLOOMINGTON, Ind. – Illinois State began its spring trip in Bloomington, Indiana, on Friday as the Redbirds took on the Indiana Hoosiers in a non-conference matchup. The Hoosiers took care of business at home, earning a 4-0 defeat of the Redbirds at the IU Tennis Center.
The Hoosiers got off to a quick start, winning the doubles point with wins at No. 2 and No. 3. As the action moved to singles, IU picked up straight-set wins at No. 2, No. 1 and No. 5 to secure victory over Illinois State.
The Redbirds are back in action on Tuesday, March 8, in Las Vegas for a split doubleheader with Grand Canyon and Northern Arizona.
