The Iowa Wild went 1-2-0 in three games last week. Iowa earned a 4-0 shutout victory at Grand Rapids on Friday (3/4). Forward Kyle Rau (0-3=3), Defensemen Joe Hicketts (1-1=2), Forward Victor Rask (0-2=2) and Forward Nick Swaney (1-1=2) all recorded multi-point games and Goaltender Zane McIntyre stopped all 40 shots faced to earn his first shutout of the season.
The Wild lost 3-0 at Grand Rapids on Saturday (3/5). McIntyre stopped 24-of-26 shots faced.
Iowa dropped a 5-3 decision at Chicago on Sunday (3/6). Swaney (2) and Forward Mitchell Chaffee scored and Goaltender Hunter Jones made 27 saves.
Forward Marco Rossi leads Iowa in scoring with 42 points (16-26=42) in 43 games. He ranks T-3rd among AHL rookies in scoring. Rau ranks second on the team with 37 points (15-22=37). Swaney is third with 27 points (12-15=27).
McIntyre is 9-7-0 with a 2.23 GAA, a .925 SV% and one shutout in 18 games with the Wild. Jones is 2-6-1 with a 3.59 GAA and a .884 SV% in nine games.
Iowa plays at Milwaukee on Wednesday and hosts Henderson on Saturday and Sunday this week.
