6 p.m.: Canucks GM Allvin and new D-man Dermott to talk
Vancouver Canucks general manager Patrik Allvin and newly acquired defenceman Travis Dermott are scheduled to talk to media this evening before the game against the Sabres.
1:45 p.m.: Canucks pick up Dermott from Leafs
The Canucks gave up the third-round pick from the Hamonic trade to Toronto in exchange for Leafs defenceman Travis Dermott. Dermott has five points (1-4) in 43 games for Toronto this season.
1:40 p.m.: Stecher picked up by L.A. Kings
The Los Angeles Kings got former Canucks defenceman Troy Stecher from the Red Wings in exchange for a seventh-round selection in this year’s draft. Stecher played in just 16 games for Detroit this season due to a wrist injury in November.

12:30 p.m.: Canucks deal Travis Hamonic to Sens
The Vancouver Canucks made their first trade a day ahead of the deadline, sending defenceman Travis Hamonic to the Ottawa Senators for a third-round pick.
Noon: Leafs pick up Mark Giordano from Kraken
The Seattle Kraken have traded their first captain, Mark Giordano, to the Maple Leafs. The 38-year-old defenceman is a Toronto native. The Kraken get two second-round picks this year and a third-rounder in 2023, while the Leafs also picked up winger Colin Blackwell.
10:30 a.m.: Sabres trade Hagg to Panthers
The Buffalo Sabres got a sixth-round pick after sending defenceman Robert Hagg to the Florida Panthers.

The Philadelphia Flyers traded away their captain just a couple days after Claude Giroux played his 1,000th NHL game. The Flyers picked up Owen Tippett, a conditional 2024 first-round pick and a 2023 third-rounder for Giroux, while Florida also picked up Connor Bunnaman, German Rubtsov and a fifth-round pick in 2024.
Bruins pick up Hampus Lindholm from Ducks
The Boston Bruins have signed Hampus Lindholm to an eight-year, $52-million contract extension a day after acquiring the veteran defenceman from Anaheim. The Ducks get blue-liners Urho Vaakanainen and John Moore, plus a first-round draft pick in 2022 and second-round picks in 2023 and 2024. Boston also gets D-man. Kodie Curran in the deal.
Deslauriers dealt to Minnesota Wild by Ducks
Winger Nicolas Deslauriers has been picked up by the Minnesota Wild from the Anaheim Ducks, who get a 2023 third-round pick in exchange.
