Manchester United and Liverpool to meet in pre-season in Thailand as Premier League duo go back on tour
Manchester United and Liverpool will meet in Thailand as the Premier League duo go back on a significant pre-season tour for the first time since the outbreak of COVID-19.
The pandemic stopped United and Liverpool rivals from touring around their favoured destinations in Australia, Asia and America during the last two summers.
The Athletic revealed in February that Manchester United were due to face Liverpool in pre-season.

Hello and welcome
Attention is now turning back to the Premier League with plenty to play for across England’s top flight.
Just one point separates leaders Manchester City and second-placed Liverpool with the two sides having nine games to play in the Premier League.
It will be interesting to see who comes out on top between Pep Guardiola and Jurgen Klopp in the Premier League. They are also competing in the FA Cup and Champions League. Game on.

The Champions League action doesn’t stop there though. Paris Saint-Germain host Bayern Munich at 8pm BST.

World record attendance at a women’s football match
An amazing achievement tonight in the women’s game as Barcelona hosted Real Madrid at the Nou Camp.
A world record attendance of 91,553 fans attended the match, making it the most attended women’s football match.

An exciting first half between Barcelona and Real Madrid
A thrilling 45 minutes at the Nou Camp as Barcelona and Real Madrid are tied 1-1 on the evening.
Leon Cebrian gave Barcelona the lead after just eight minutes.
Eight minutes later Real Madrid retaliated from the penalty spot. Carmona Garcia slotted it past Panos Garcia-Villamil to make it 4-2 on aggregate.

Fulham announce £93 million loss from 2020-21 financial year
Fulham have announced losses of £93 million for last year — the highest deficit they have recorded under owner Shahid Khan.
The American businessman, who purchased the club from Mohamed Al Fayed in 2013, is no stranger to losses at Craven Cottage however the latest accounts detail a rise from a loss of £45.2 million in 2020, and £20.2 million in 2018-19.
The accounts cover the year ending in June 2021 and Fulham’s second successive ill-fated stay in the Premier League, where they finished 18th and were relegated under Scott Parker.

Manchester United forward Edinson Cavani picks up fresh injury knock
Edinson Cavani looks set for another spell on the sidelines after the Manchester United forward had to be replaced in the 29th minute of Uruguay’s 2-0 win over Chile.
The former Paris Saint-Germain forward has played just 17 games so far this season as he has struggled with various injury knock.
Cavani grimaced as he stretched his right calf before having to leave the field due to his latest injury.
