The Minnesota Timberwolves head to Memphis on Tuesday where they face the Grizzlies in Game Five of the first round of NBA Playoffs.
The series is currently tied 2-2 after Minnesota took a 119-118 victory on Saturday night.
Timberwolves center Karl-Anthony Towns scored a playoff career-high 33 points with 14 rebounds, while guard Anthony Edwards tallied 24 points, four rebounds and four assists in the game. Backup guard Jordan McLaughlin came off the bench and went a perfect four from four from beyond the arc and added 16 points to Minnesota’s final score.
Memphis’ Desmond Bane had a game-high 34 points, and teammate Dillon Brooks posted 24 points. Although Minnesota held Ja Morant to only 11 points in the game, the Grizzlies guard still managed to tally 15 assists and eight rebounds.
After Tuesday night’s game, the two teams will meet again for Game Six in Minnesota on Friday night. Whether or not a Game Seven will be played will be determined by Tuesday and Friday’s outcome.
