TEEING OFF
• NM State was picked to finish third at the WAC Men’s Golf Championship. Fortunatley for the men, the NM State women’s golf team was also picked third before they won the WAC Women’s Golf Championship last week.
• The weather in Boulder City will be much nicer than the Aggies trip to Provo, Utah. The forecast calls for three days of sunshine.
• The Aggies look to defend their title as WAC Men’s Golf champions and return to the NCAA Regionals. In 2021, the Aggies went to Albuquerque for postseason play after winning the conference tournament.
• NM State looks to pick up their first individual championship since 2010 as well. Aidan Thomas, Garrison Smith, Scott Resigno, Cole Grossl, Joseph Robson, and Alvaro Morales will all represent the Aggies in Boulder City.
• In the 2021 WAC Men’s Golf Championship, the Aggies saw great success at the Boulder Creek Golf Club. Garrison Smith and Aidan Thomas both carded top-five finishes as the Aggies edged out Grand Canyon by one stroke.
• NM State will get their title defense underway at 9:25 on Friday morning as the Aggies will be paired with Grand Canyon and Utah Valley on the first day.

• The Aggies are competing for a spot in the NCAA Regional field. NM State is competing for a trip to College Station, Texas, Palm Beach, Fla., New Haven, Conn., Stockton, Calif., Tuscaloosa, Ala., or Columbus, Ohio.
