MUMBAI: Unless they stage a spectacular comeback on the final day, Mumbai are set to lose the Cooch Behar Trophy (for Under-19) final to Haryana at the Eden Gardens.
On Day Three, pacer Garv Sangwan, who was a part of the India team which triumphed in the Under-19 World Cup in the West Indies but didn’t get a game in the tournament, took five for 41 as Mumbai lost wickets i n a heap and collapsed to 303, conceding a huge 134-run lead to Haryana of their Cooch Behar Trophy.
Haryana were 77 for one in their second innings, with Arjun Dani having taken the sole wicket for Mumbai. Going into Day Four, Haryana, in the driver’s seat now, lead by 211 runs, with nine wickets left.
