Dybala’s Premier League dream
Paulo Dybala is interested in a move to the Premier League or La Liga, although he insists he’s happy in Italy.
The Argentina international, 28, will become a free agent later this month when his Juventus deal expires. The Turin club have informed Dybala his contract will not be renewed, leaving the likes of Arsenal, Roma, Tottenham and Inter Milan on red alert.
Dybala boasts a fine CV, despite his Juventus departure. He’s scored 153 club goals and won nine major hours, including five Serie A titles. The 33-cap international was part of the Argentina squad that won the Finalissima at Wembley on Wednesday evening.
The Finalissima is a new competition that sees the Copa America winners take on the European Championship holders in a one-off game. Argentina defeated Italy 3-0 in the final, with Dybala – who missed their Copa America triumph – scoring the last goal.
“I am quite calm, the people who I work with are taking care,” Dybala told ESPN before the game, as quoted by Italian journalist Fabrizio Romano. “In Italy I am very comfortable. I would still like to know other leagues like Premier League, LaLiga… but I’m happy in Italy.”
