BABSON PARK, Fla. (June 6, 2022) – Webber International University’s Director of Athletics, Brad Niethammer, has announced that Head Men’s Soccer Coach Neil Cockburn will be named the Director of Soccer Operations, effective immediately.
Matthew Miller will also be named the Assistant Head Coach of women’s soccer. Miller spent the previous year as an assistant coach for both the men’s and women’s teams.
“Neil has done a good job growing the men’s program and is really strong on the operational side of things,” said Niethammer. “Both programs are moving in the right direction and this transition will keep us on the right path. Matt has done a good job assisting both programs and will take on extra responsibilities with the women’s program as the Assistant Head Coach. I am looking forward to watching both of our soccer programs continue to get better and compete for conference championships.”
Coach Cockburn will be entering his 14th season as the Men’s Soccer Head Coach with an overall record of 90-113-13 (.443). In 2021, he led the Warriors to a 9-6-2 record (tying the coach’s record for wins) and a Sun Conference Tournament Semifinal appearance.

Matthew Miller and Bryan Mejia are tireless workers in recruiting and developing sessions. I want to thank Webber Athletics and Brad Niethammer for giving me this opportunity.”
Coach Miller spent last season as an assistant coach for the men’s team as well as the women’s team which finished 2021 with an overall record of 10-6-1. It was the first 10-win season since 2012 for the Warriors.
