ASIA CUP 2022: Asia Cup Cricket qualifiers: Hong Kong, Singapore, Kuwait and United Arab Emirates are set to battle for the final Asia Cup slot in the offing. The Asia Cup qualifiers will start from August 20 to 24. Top team from the competition will make it to the main tournament. The qualifiers will be played in the round-robin format with each team playing three matches overall to battle for the top slot.
It is the UAE, who start as favourites for various reasons. UAE have the experience of playing in big tournaments and have a decent squad to shrug off any competition. With the main round of the Asia Cup being shifted to their home turf, UAE players will be more than eager to ensure that their team goes through.
However, UAE are aware of the job in hand. They need to be consistent cricket and cannot afford to take any of their opponents easy. A small mistake here and there could prove to be costly.
