The NBA schedule is officially here.
The New York Knicks will play nine games on ESPN, one on ABC, three on TNT and three on NBA TV.
The rest of the details are routine. They play the Milwaukee Bucks, Charlotte Hornets and Orlando Magic three times. They play the remaining Eastern Conference ones four times. As always, they have a home and an away game against each of the 15 in the West.
Here are the Knicks’ 10 games to watch in 2022-23, listed in chronological order:
Knicks at Memphis Grizzlies
Oct. 19, 2022
The wait will be done, and answers to the broadest Knicks questions will start to form. How will Jalen Brunson look inside the New York offense? Will Julius Randle improve on a down season? Will RJ Barrett make a leap? Who starts at shooting guard: Quentin Grimes or Evan Fournier? Does Obi Toppin receive a bigger role than he did last season? Meanwhile, all of this will come against the team that owned the second-best record in the NBA last season. A year ago, the Knicks’ opening night earned the world a viral, bing-bong video, and that was after an overtime win over the Boston Celtics, who were coming off a .500 campaign. We’ll see what’s in store if the Knicks win their first game this autumn.
