Ethan Schmidt, 9 years old of New Ulm, wrapped up the summer golf season Monday, August 15.
Schmidt competed in the Minnesota Junior Golf Prep Tour Championship on Monday at Lafayette Club in Minnetonka Beach on the shore of Lake Minnetonka. Schmidt placed fourth out of 30 golfers in the (10-12) year age group. Schmidt shot a +8 (39), finishing two shots shy of the winner.
