Hello everybody and welcome! The 2022 MLB season is heading towards the home stretch and we here at Rotoballer have you covered with some terrific plays from our friends over at PrizePicks.
PrizePicks is a great DFS fantasy picks site where you can choose to select plays in terms of fantasy points or single stats. The goal is to build a 2-player, 3-player, 4-player, or 5-player entry and then select whether or not you want to play for the power play or the flex play. On the power play, you will need to be correct on each of your selections to win, and on the flex play, you will have a little more wiggle room for a chance to win some money back.
Our partners at PrizePicks offer some of the best, and easiest to win, MLB DFS games in the industry. There are no large-field tournaments filled with sharks where you have to get lucky just to place. At PrizePicks, you’re not playing against other people, you’re just playing against the projections, and the guys at PrizePicks have worked hard to give you really attractive opportunities to make some money. With promo code ‘BALLER‘ you can get a 100% match on your deposit up to $100.

PrizePicks has two types of games. The first type of game is known as Fantasy Score, which consists of selecting various players and trying to determine if they will go over or under their projected fantasy points in a game. The second game is known as Single Stat. For MLB, Single Stat consists of pitcher strikeout props in which you determine if the pitcher in question will go over or under their projected strikeout total. You can mix and match players from each type of game in your entry or select all of your plays from the same type of game. Once you have selected your players and props, you can choose the aforementioned flex play or power play option. Let’s see what the board offers today!

MLB DFS Prop Picks for 8/28/22
Julio Urias over 7.0 strikeouts- This number was 6.5 earlier this morning, but has rightfully moved to 7.0 on PrizepIcks site. Urias has hit or eclipsed seven strikeouts in two of his previous three starts and gets a fantastic matchup against the Marlins today. Over the previous two weeks, the Marlins have posted the highest K rate against left-handers with a rate of 30.8% while also posting just a 51 wRC+ mark and a 5.7% walk rate.
Edward Cabrera over 5.5 strikeouts – We are staying in the same game with this one as Cabrera has eclipsed this total in four straight games. Although he will be facing the Dodgers, they have actually posted the 11th-highest K rate against righties over the previous two weeks with a rate of nearly 24%. Cabrera has thrown at least 90 pitches in his previous three starts, including a 101-pitch outing in his most recent start, so he should be able to get there in this one as long as he can limit the damage.
Max Scherzer over 7.5 strikeouts – This is a case where we are going to play the horse and see if he can get over the threshold. While the Rockies are posting a respectable 21.5% K rate vs. righties over the previous two weeks, it should be high enough for one of the best strikeout pitchers to get eight. The Rockies are also posting just a four percent walk rate and 58 wRC+ over that same span, so Max should be able to get pretty deep in this one.
Justin Verlander over 6.5 strikeouts – We are going to ride another horse in this one with justin Verlander as he has managed to get over this total in five of his previous eight starts. he will be facing the Orioles, who have started climbing up the K charts and are now posting a 23.9% K rate vs. righties over the previous two weeks, which ranks eighth-worst in baseball. They have also posted a mediocre 88 wRC+ and just 7.8% walk rate over that same span.
Other Recommendations – Sean Manaea over 5.0 strikeouts,
