Nigel Wilson has dedicated decades of his time to the development of Tennis in Geelong. Nigel has been involved in Tennis Geelong and all their amalgamated associations for the past 30 years. Nigel’s involvement has been with the week to week running of the competition, Nigel has been involved with Geelong & District Churches Tennis Association (GDCTA), Geelong Winter Tennis Association (GWTA) and the amalgamation Tennis Geelong for 30 years.
There aren’t many roles Nigel hasn’t held over the years to help develop competitive tennis in the Geelong region. Through his involvement at All Saints Uniting Tennis Club and Tennis Geelong, Nigel has impacted and created playing opportunities for many players across the Geelong region.
Nigel is a Life Member of both GDCTA and GWTA and was awarded a Tennis Victoria Highly Commended Service Award in 2016. Nigel has also dedicated 50 years to the All Saints Uniting Tennis Club and is a Life Member of the club.
Nigel is stepping down from his role with Tennis Geelong in September and we want to take this opportunity to thank Nigel for the impact he has had on tennis in Geelong over such a long period of time.
