The Iowa Wild finished their four-game homestand to start the season against the Texas Stars on October 21 and 22. Iowa fell to Texas in both games, losing 2-0 in the first matchup and suffered a 4-3 shootout loss in the series finale.
Wild goaltender Zane McIntyre was named the third star for his performance in the first game of the series, stopping 30 of the 32 shots faced in regulation. Left wing Adam Beckman, right wing Nick Swaney and left wing Sammy Walker all scored in the 4-3 shootout loss.
Goaltender Jesper Wallstedt stopped 22 of the 25 shots faced in regulation. Iowa will look to pick up their first win of the season when they travel to Manitoba to take on the Moose on Saturday, October 29 and Sunday, October 30.
