NORMAN – Oklahoma women’s tennis head coach Audra Cohen announced Wednesday the addition of Tiantsoa Sarah Rakotomanga Rajaonah for the 2023-24 season.
“We are super excited to add Sarah to our Sooner family,” said Cohen. “Sarah is a hard-working, talented lefty with great fundamental skills. She’s proven she is one of the best junior players in the world, but what we are most excited for is Sarah’s growth potential. She has a ton of room to continue to develop and this coupled with her talent and drive to achieve lofty goals is a perfect fit with our program.”
From Toulouse, France, Rakotomanga Rajaonah joins the Sooners with a career-high ITF junior ranking of 92 and WTA of 1275 in singles and 1046 in doubles. She comes to Norman with 18 wins, seven professional, in 2022 at only 16-years old.
She qualified for the 2022 Roland Garros junior tournament and picked up a win in the first round. In addition, she clinched two junior tournament titles in 2021 and 2022.
Since 2016, Rakotomanga Rajaonah has collected 84 wins over 70 tournaments.
