Bangladesh have already qualified for the next year’s World Cup
The upcoming ODI series between Bangladesh and India is not a part of the World Super League as both Bangladesh and India have already qualified for the World Cup. However, Bangladeshi fans have the chance to see the likes of Rohit Sharma and Virat Kohli in action for the first time in seven years. To note, Bangladesh will be without their star players including Tamim Iqbal and Taskin Ahmed which might dampen the fan’s excitement.

Is ODI cricket losing its essence?
Recently, the third ODI match played between Australia and England had taken place in front of the lowest crowd for an ODI involving Australia at the MCG. The first two ODI matches played in Adelaide and Sydney did not had much of a gathering as well. A recent survey conducted by the fan site CricBlog found of the more than 1,000 participants, 33.6 percent believed ODIs would cease to exist within 10 to 15 years. More than 50 percent of respondents said ODIs were the one format they would be prepared to sacrifice, ahead of 41 percent who nominated T20Is and 6.7 percent who chose Tests.
