India to play three ODIs and T20s against SL and NZ each
As per the itinerary, Sri Lankan team will be on tour to India from January 3, 2023, for three ODIs and three T20 matches. New Zealand team will come to India for three T20 and three ODIs from 18th January. Australia’s tour will start from 9th February and it will play four test matches and three ODIs.

Cyclonic storm to cross coast between north TN and south AP
Severe cyclonic storm Mandous will cross the coast between north Tamil Nadu and south Andhra Pradesh around December 9 night and early next day, the regional weather office said on Friday. It is expected to cross the coast near Mamallapuram, an IMD official said. It lay centred around 270 km off Chennai. It will weaken into a cyclonic storm in the next few hours, the IMD official added.

4 killed, over 60 wedding guests injured in gas cylinder explosion in Jodhpur
Four persons were killed and 60 wedding guests, including women and children, sustained injuries in a gas cylinder explosion that took place in the Bhungra village of Rajasthan’s Jodhpur on Thursday. A fire brigade team with water tankers was called after the police arrived on the scene. The injured were shifted to the local hospital for treatment, an official said on Thursday.According to District Collector Himanshu Gupta, the incident took place before a groom’s procession was about to start from Bhungra on Thursday.

Russia, US conduct prisoners swap
Russian citizen Viktor Bout was exchanged for US basketball player Brittney Griner at the Abu Dhabi airport, the Russian Foreign Ministry announced. “Washington categorically refused a dialogue on the inclusion of Bout in the exchange scheme. US sending $275 million in military aid to Ukraine
The US is sending an additional USD 275 million in military aid to Ukraine, including large amounts of ammunition and high-tech systems that can be used to detect and counter drones in its ongoing war with Russia, according to US officials.

131 civilians killed in eastern Congo: UN
In eastern Congo last week, M23 rebels killed at least 131 civilians, including 17 women and 12 children, a UN spokesman said. “An additional 8 people were shot and wounded, 60 people were abducted and at least 22 women and five girls were raped,” said Stephane Dujarric, the Chief Spokesman for UN Secretary-General Antonio Guterres, on Thursday.
Shanghai to lift COVID test requirement in indoor entertainment venues and restaurants from today

Shanghai announced that no mass COVID testing will be conducted at the administrative region level except for employees in high-risk positions and high-risk areas.
