The Oklahoma City Thunder’s mascot gave NBA reporter Brooke Olzendam the fright of her life in a hilarious video that has now gone viral.
The Thunder was preparing to take on Portland on Tuesday (AEDT) when Oklahoma City’s mascot, known as Rumble, snuck up behind Olzendam as she was about to go on camera.

Rumble, a bison whose name derives from the sound thunder makes, snuck up right behind the reporter and managed to stay still for a few moments while staring down the camera.
After a few seconds, Olzendam realised someone was standing right behind her and she turned around only to see the mascot just centimetres away from her.
The sideline reporter was seriously spooked out, running away in horror before she quickly saw the funny side of the prank.
Rumble the mascot was very pleased with its efforts and was seen gleefully prancing away.
Olzendam might have known but the mascot had in store for her after she shared a photo of the pair meeting the day before the game.
It’s not the first time Olzendam has been in the firing line of an NBA mascot.
Back in 2017, Pierre the New Orleans Pelican pulled the same prank on her. Let’s hope Olzendam isn’t on the end of any more mischievous mascots.
On the court in Oklahoma City, the Thunder’s Shai Gilgeous-Alexander drained a pull-up jump shot as time expired to lift the Thunder to a 123-121 victory over the Trail Blazers, spoiling a milestone night for Damian Lillard.
Gilgeous-Alexander led all scorers with 35 points.
Lillard led Portland with 28 and overtook Hall of Famer Clyde Drexler as the leading scorer in Trail Blazers history.
Drexler scored 18,040 points for the Blazers from 1983-95. Lillard came into the contest needing 21 to surpass him.
