LONGVIEW, Texas — Pleasant Grove’s varsity girls soccer fell to Hallsville, 3-1, on Thursday in the Kilgore tournament after an unfortunate series of events that led the game to being played at a site about 30 minutes away.
Before the tournament began, the lights wouldn’t come on at the Kilgore Stadium 12 minutes into the first half. After the match halted, the malfunction forced the contest to be moved to Spring Hill Independent School District in Longview.
On top of that, the team suffered injuries to three of its players.
“It was a tough one,” Pleasant Grove coach Andy Allen said.
